Once again the Flavour Stage will be a hub of activity at Aroma this year and we’re pleased to announce that Paul Miranda will be the MC.

Paul is a showman pastry chef and one of a few professionals around NSW specialising in live stage performance. He’s hugely talented and a whole lot of fun so come along and meet him and find out what makes him tick. You might also get to hear about the time he was nearly crushed while creating an 800 kilogram mud cake on stage!

The Flavour Stage will feature a range of coffee and chocolate demonstrations from industry professionals across both days from 10.15am. You’ll be able to learn various techniques on Saturday and Sunday which will help you discover what’s really behind making delicious creations with coffee and chocolate.

Rachael King from Myrtle and Pepper, from the village of Lorn, will be on the Flavour Stage making her native Australian rocky road from 11.15am on Saturday 11 August. Rachael, who has attended the festival for a number of years now, is an award winning chocolatier who uses native ingredients to create her edible art and has won three prestigious Callebaut Sydney Royal Chocolate Show Awards.

In addition to hosting The Brownie Bar, The Cunning Culinarian will also be teaming up with The Little Marionette on the Flavour Stage, running cupping sessions each day, with single origin coffees paired with food samples prepared by Alina from The Cunning Culinarian to complement each bean. Alina will also be creating a smoked mocha cheesecake with salted hazelnut crust showcasing The Little Marionette’s new chocolate powder at 1.30pm on Sunday.

Sunday at 2.15pm be sure to catch a unique collaboration between the craft brewers from Hunter Beer Co and Josie Coffee, as they bring their popular Hunter Kolsch, together with a fruity, cold brew, single origin coffee, to create an easy-drinking hybrid beer.
